Electric Scooters were once considered a toy or something a senior citizen would use to get around the mall. These battery powered life savers are perfect for in-town driving or the basic to and fro of going to work every day. Some jobs even provide free parking for scooters and bikes while car owners have to fork over cash every day.
Gasoline cars and scooters cost more than three times what an electric scooter does to own and operate. Seniors that are lucky enough to own an electric model can take their scooter indoors. Since the disability scooter doesn’t go that fast, older people don’t have to worry about hurting themselves or others.
Two-wheeled electric scooters like the Vespa are usually referred to as mopeds. These little wonders can achieve speeds of up to 60 mph. They’ve become quite fashionable in countries like Italy. Seniors and members of the younger generation can be seen riding them in any major city.
Electric scooters are becoming popular for the many advantages they provide over cars or other gasoline powered methods of transportation. They’re quiet and environmentally friendly. They have little to no maintenance beyond recharging. You never have to stop at a gas station or pull into Wal-mart for an oil change. While electric scooters cost more than gasoline power scooters, they’re relatively inexpensive when compared to electric cars on the road.
