I want to add several upgrades to my scooter from air filter to exhaust but my main question is about the carburetor i know if i get a bigger one it means more air and gas mixture, but would I also need to add a bigger main jet to the carb as well?

Anyone experienced enough to tell me how and what parts i should get if i wanted to upgrade my Tank Urban 50cc scooter. Up to how much extra speed / cc’s would i be able to get in upgrades. Is it possible to get it to do more than the max 45mph which i rarely get?

I have 49cc TGB Lazer Scooter. I recently had a performance upgrade installed so that it would go 5 to 8 mile faster. Before getting the upgrade, my scooter never had a problem and only had 2700 miles on it. A day after I got the scooter back a piston broke off into the head gasket and pretty much destroyed the motor. Now I have to get the motor rebuilt or replaced. The scooter shop that did the upgrade said the upgrade had nothing to do with the piston issue.
Is this correct? If it’s a 49cc that should only go about 40-45MPH but now goes 45-55 MPH, could that have caused the issue?
They installed a new exhaust system that helps it to move a bit faster. As far as what was done internally, I’m not really sure.

I got a scooter a Motor Star jazz 70HP and its a 4 stroke scooter…
First question…
What kind of motor oil should I put? Should I put a 2T or a 4T lubricant
2nd question…
How can I maximize the power of my scooter? Is there any upgrades available? If there is what should I get? (no silly answer please… check the compatability.)
and last…
My speedometer is not working and even the fuel gage… Please tell me what kind of sensor should I buy to make them useful again…
Thanks
sorry… its a jazz 70-II not 70HP…

I’m moving to Alabama, and to maintain road legal status with my 49cc Yamaha Zuma II (1999), I need to be at least 50cc. Is there an easy way to squeeze out an extra cc?

Aside from finding parts for the scooter (which isn’t going well), I’m looking to remove the restrictor, upgrade the exhaust (if affordable) and disable any speed monitors that may exist on the bike.
